Well look who decided to show up...

....ME! =) Hi guys!

It's been, what, a year and a half? Yeah...a longggg time - but, i never really said good-bye, right? It was more like a "see ya later!" So, it's later, so HI! (= 

I don't know who still reads this thing or who can even see it...but whoever is reading this...HELLO! If you've forgotten, this is Aimee aka VietxPinay on youtube haha. I actually did post a new video or two up on my youtube about a month ago with current news and updates. Those are still true to date...no more MAC for me =( I'm currently focusing on my teaching career and working full time for a fortune 500 company, so it's alllllll good! I'm still real close with my fellow MAC ladies and we get together still outside of the MAC world......but i sure do miss my damn discount! HAHA. I need to apply for my MAC Pro card, actually. BUT ANYWAYS! 

I decided to come back to blogger...atleast for the moment, because I figured I could step back into this world slowly, but surely. I think doing youtube videos is still a bit much for me. I don't have the time nor patience to do the recording, editing, and uploading anymore!! I've got a busy life and i'm at the age where weddings and babies are in the near future HAHAHA. But I haven't forgotten about this life - the internet beauty world...it used to be my BFF back in the day! Foreal! When I was in college, this was my past time - other than homework. It was all i had pretty much since i was away from my closest friends and family. But now that I graduated over a year ago, I'm back home and working like a mofo and spending time with lovers and friends on the reg. So the internet isn't a thing to me anymore - more or less checking up on the latest videos or blogs. It's kind of sad though...I miss the beauty thangthang. I need to get back on it - being a teacher clearly gets me out of the loop! WOMP. 

So, we'll see how things go from here. Check out my latest youtube videos if you haven't already done so. And yes, i got a lil chubz over the past year haha...when I was in Colorado for 2 months for training they spoiled the shit out of me! $50 a day for food...RIDICULOUS! So, i'm back home working on it hahahaha. tryna get back into that slimmer kinda thang =P and it's hard, working 40 hrs a damn week. UGH. but never say never, i got this! And it's crazy...all you beauty guru's are dropping lbs like it's nobody's bidness! GAHDAMN! hahaha. it's the newest trend on youtube...get skinny! lol. i ain't hatin though, i'm right there with ya'll!

hahahaha, hey ladies &all you in the blogger world! whaaaaaat up?! it's been a MINUTE, hasn't it?! i didn't say i was GONE FOR GOOD..i just said, "see ya later." and it's been LATER...so HAAYYYYY!!!! hahahaha! i can't say i've INCREDIBLY missed blogging..because honestly, it felt nice to be away and have my own time and have NO WORRIES about keeping this updated.

i'm not saying that i'm for good...just like youtube (btw, i posted a new video!), i'm just stopping by to pay my dues and say WHAT UP! and thanks to the new followers! HOLLERR!! =P thanks for always showing me love! regardless if i'm updating or not...it's TRUEEE LOVE! thank ya, thank ya! (=

anyways...what's new with me? yup, i'm still working with MAC. it's been incredible so far! couldn't be any happier. i passed one of my certification test things like 2 weeks ago...so i'm moving on to bigger and better thaaaangs ;) i'm sure i'll def move up the ladder with this company! speaking of MAC, the new Anniversary collection, Spring Colour Forecast, launches this February 11th!!! DEFINITELYYYYY check it out! it's always one of the biggest launches of the yeaaarrrr!!! visit Temptalia's website to see all the pictures of the collection bc it's not up on the website yet!!! (btw, Temptalia's ish is SO LEGIT hahahaha! props to her!!)

what else is new with me? i just started classes today for the spring semester..MY LAST SEMESTER OF COLLEGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! woooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooo! (= i can't believe it's almost over...*sniff* i need to get on my independent &grown woman status sooon!!! i'm nervous, yet i can't wait!

aaaaand i mentioned in my youtube video that things have changed recently..some personal things...but they've changed for the better. basically, things didn't work out with the guy i was dating..i'm sure you all remember him. we dated for 4+ years but unfortunately, things had to come to an end. however, i found the more brighter side of the situation and i've moved on...i'm happy, happier than i could ever be. as they say, when one door closes, another one opens...

CONFESSION.

I'm kind of bored of updating my blog....and bored of blogger in general. Also, I'm kind of over making youtube videos. Maybe it's just a phase? But I've been thinking about it sporadically lately. I think I'm going to take a break...maybe go on hiatus. Everything is just on repeat...same kind of videos ALL OVER YOUTUBE - it's annoying. Maybe I'll just sit back and be a viewer now...instead of a "guru." But I appreciate all who have followed/kept up with me...especially those who are sincere subscribers (you definitely know who you are).

I'm not saying that I'm leaving...quite yet. I'm just contemplating...and thinking/writing out loud to you all. If you've noticed, I haven't made tutorials or have done a legit post, more or less, on a daily basis. It's just because..I'm getting tired of it. Working as a MAC Makeup Artist and then coming home doing MAC makeup tutorials and then updating about MAC products, blahblahblahzeblah. I love MAC, don't get me wrong, but I need some ME time. I'll probably stick around, and do random ass posts/videos...but as of right now, who knows. I DON'T! I still don't know what I want to do as of right now...we'll see.

But I just want to take my time to say THANK YOU - to each and every one of my 5,400+ youtube subscribers and my 400+ blog readers. It has been INCREDIBLE. It's been a great journey to beauty with you all...and I've learned SO MUCH from everyone. You've been my entertainment and my past time for the past 1 1/2 years! Like I've said before, you girls are amazing. We've created such a comfortable world for ourselves and it has allowed us to express ourselves and appreciate one another. Our love for beauty is stronger than strong - you guys are awesome =)

This isn't my "GOODBYE." It's more of a..."bare with me" kind of thing. If you don't see me for a while, I already warned you! Hahaha. But again, my mind may change tomorrow...or next month. Who knows.

GIRL BE GLOWIN'. [VOLCANIC ASH EXFOLIATOR]

good afternoon, beautifuls!

so today, i decided to dedicate this post on a...

REVIEW: MAC's VOLCANIC ASH EXFOLIATOR.

i've been using the volcani ash exfoliator for about 2 weeks now. it was re-promoted with the Style Black collection. even when it was first released, there was so much rave about it - so now it is back, and the rave hasn't died.

what's so special about the volcanic ash exfoliator? Well, in MAC's words: "A highly effective, dual-purpose, foaming and exfoliating scrub blending natural Volcanic Ash with fine sugar crystals from the islands of Vanuatu. Adds moisture: leaves skin feeling soft and comfortably clean. Mineral-rich. Good for absorbing skin’s natural oils. May be used on any part of face or body. Rinses off with warm water. " - If the natural volcanic ash ingredient didn't catch your attention, i don't know where your mind is at! that's crazy, using real volcanic ash on your face. how many times can you tell your girlfriends that, "oh yeah, i'm using volcanic ash on my face." haha, slim to none!

PROS:

- this is a highly unique item

- the smell isn't bad, it's pleasing to the nose

- it leaves your skin feeling SO SUPER SOFT!

- great long term effects

- use of natural ingredients

CONS:

- dissolves too quickly

- quite expensive ($20)

OVERALL: like i said, i have been using this for 2 weeks now, every other day while i'm in the shower. yes, the exfoliator beads dissolve VERY FAST, but that DOES NOT MEAN you need to rinse it off right away. massage the volcanic ash into your face for about one minute...it will seem as if you are just using a regular cream face wash. but i can already feel the softness when i'm massaging it into my skin. after using it, my skin feels soooooo incredibly soft and radiant. after using this for 2 weeks, i noticed that my face/skin is naturally more vibrant, radiant, and dewey. it adds moisture to my skin which keeps it hydrated and keeps it looking very soft. if i'm not mistaken, it has evened out my skintone just a tad. YESSS! haha. i didn't wear foundation yesterday or today and when i stepped outside into the natural lighting, i noticed that my skin looked fabulous!! it was just so radiant (of course, i put a little moisturizer). but overall, this stuff is amazing. too bad we're already sold out of it =( otherwise, i would DEFINITELY keep buying it.

P.S. yes, this stuff is black, even on your face! it looks like a black mud mask...don't be scurred! haha.

**i leave it in the shower so my roommates can try it...THEY LOVE IT! my girlfriend just comes over and washes her face just to use it, HAHAHAHAH!!!

so i hope you all have had the chance to try this stuff out! it is totally worth it. $20, yes, is pricey, but a little goes a long way and the bottle could last you approximately up to 3-4 months. i haven't tried the thermal mask yet, but i've heard great stuff about that one too! i just think that both of the volcanic products are AWESOME!

HELLO MY LITTLE MONSTERS!

Hi, my loves!

i've missed you!!! i know i've been in the slackin' department, but i apologize!!! i get a lot of you telling me that you miss me and my updates...let me tell you, so do i!! i miss updating on the reg with my random ass things and beauty posts. i don't know what's been going on lately..i think i just needed a bit of a break, but i think that's done with. i'm here (=

anyways, let's get on with the updating. as you can probably tell, i got a web camera =D which is built into my new laptop =))))) *CLAP CLAP CLAP!* finally. the laptop i was using was almost 4 years old..it was my very first laptop from my freshman year in college. it was STRAIGHT UP JANKED UP. the screen was all kinds of effed up, so i couldn't take it anymore. i picked and bought my new laptop...yes, from MY WALLET. every penny. but, if i had a credit card and wanted to be in debt, i would've chosen a MAC Pro notebook, BUT, let's be real. ahahahaha. so i stuck with a PC and got a Gateway. i've never had a Gateway nor heard much about it but the reviews were good and everyone n' they's mamas have one when i'm in the library studying..soo, i guess that's good? let me know if you have one and what you think about it! don't tell me any bullshit, otherwise i'll panick...and come beat your booty. hahaha jk. and also, i'm uploading another youtube video that i captured with my webcam. the audio SUCKS, but maybe it's because i need to speak closer into the microphone..because it keeps going in and out. dah well, it's all about trial and error.


let's recap my weekend. we had a final bday bash at my place on Saturday. a lot of good people, fun times, and tasty drinks. it's all i could've asked for. babe$terz came down, which of course, topped off the cherry. but unfortunately, the following afternoon i had to work...which sucked. but hey, it's moneyyyy baby. and there is no way i'm letting MAC down. but i had a good time with lots of memories. here's one pic i'll share with you. i don't have a pic program on my laptop yet, so i couldn't resize it. so...click on it at your own risk! dundundunnnnn....[ok, i lied. the picture isnt big at all, hahahaha]

i had to crop the shit out of this pic because booski took it and the stupid string was hanging in front of the lense, hahahaha, dummy. but my girl and i didn't know we would coordinate so much with our dresses. we were meant to be.

Monday night i finally went to the Lady Gaga concert! WOOTWOOT! remember how i was raving about it back in March?! jeebus. well, it finally arrived and may i say..it was AWESOME. she is the shit. she is awesomely weird. she's bodacious. she's got a fine ass. SHE IS MY LIFE SIZE BARBIE. for paying $20 for the ticket, it was BEYOND worth it. out of all the states/cities she traveled to, she missed our city. during the entire night, she apologized profusely. so cute. i love her, like foreal. she's so nasty and provocative hahahaha. she kept telling the dudes to bring out their d*cks and swing 'em around LMAO. the concert only lasted for an hour and she ran one hour behind..but i didn't care! it was amazing, we had such a good time. i want to see her FAME KILLS tour starring her and Kanye, but we'll see. the theme is SO amazing, i heard about it on the radio because she was interviewed after her show on Monday. i want to seeeeee itttttttt....even though Kanye was a douche, we must admit, dude has skills.

hmmmm....what else should i talk about...well, i went to update on Monday for MAC. and let me tell you, the holiday collection+Fall 2009 launches are going to be AMAAAAAAAAAAAZING. MAC really did it up this year. new FORMULAS and completely new PRODUCTS are coming out this year! so check it out and keep up with them!!! i tried a few of the new stuff and OH MY GAAWDDDD, they are heaven sent, like foreal! i had so much fun. i am SO blessed to be a part of such an AWESOME team =)
